richie h...re: install
a business that can't fill it's demands is sure to fail....
why, because the consumer can go somewhere else...as in dsl. the opportunity exists, so if athm doesn't seize it, they will fail.
why do you think cpq, dell now offer athm ready pc's.....may be to cut down the install time???
athm must rapidly grow its subscriber base...lack of installers is a feeble excuse....no different then a manufacturer who has a desired product, inventory, but has failed to establish a sales channel to bring it to the consumer.
it is a critical time for athm...they have launched massive ad campaigns in major metro areas...maybe they know something that you don't???? why advertise if you can't deliver...a bit foolish? i don't think so...
not against athm or aol, a strategic alliance between a proven "brand" or "franchise"(aol) would not hurt anyone, especially athm. perhaps this is why athm is splitting into different operating companies? put the pieces together.
i'd be a buyer of athm at these levels, based on my conclusions. if i embraced what many on the thread preach, that there is no end seen for the "install" dilemma, i would be a seller.......things are happening, positive things, open your eyes and mind to them....the pc alliances are a hint!
