I'm making the following post to X because I don't care to have someone bring it to her attention since much of it applies to her. However, much of what I am about to post applies just as aptly to the thread.

Having the day off today as many do in our nation, I had the opportunity to catch up on what had elapsed since being essentially logged off the site for about three days (preferring instead to concentrate my focus on the markets).

I've noticed that there are a few who have said they're finally finished with the "Let's Talk About Our Feelings!!" thread. If history is any indication, I doubt it. Nor would I personally like to see such a thing happen because even though from my own standpoint I might find said people more of a nuisance with regard to the majority of their posts, those people have all contributed some very good posts during their desire to participate on the thread. I believe that I know this because my first post on the thread was back in the 3000's, and I might even be able to repeat it word for word.

Last sunday, I made a post to Nulldog (which is neither here nor there) to which X responded. There was a very good reason she did, and it came as no surprise to me that she had (posted to my post to Nulldog). X knows that I am quite aware of a situation (quite some time back) which I thought at the time would tear the very thread down past the foundations on which it was built. As a matter of fact, until such as a time as a truce was called, I thought that the thread would never come back to the point where it was again a free-flowing cornucopia of personalities.

Some of the newer readers and/or participants of the thread are probably unaware of the situation which brought about a very bad time way back when, and I do not now wish to go on any archeological digs to bring it back to the surface. But I will admit that it did leave me with some memories which I cannot forget or am too stubborn to let go of. I think X was weary, and rightfully so, of just what my intentions or goal was by saying what I said in the post to Nulldog.

I don't know X. I do believe I have, however, learned a few things about her in the few years I've been reading her on this thread and some others (although "Don't ask..." doesn't happen to be one of them). No matter what one says about X, she does seem true to herself. One may not particularly care for her opinions on some matters, or her tactics, or even the way she reacts to other posters. I believe that if one were to watch her over a period of time, and not become so reactionary to her style, one could come to the inevitable conclusion that she is a person who can (for better or worse) make things happen. X is, I believe, the ultimate when it comes to treating others as she is treated. I believe that she will give one some latitude if she doesn't feel she is being personally attacked. Funny thing is, isn't that pretty much the way everyone else is, too?

I hope it is not the intention to "run" X off, because even though there is a certain measure of bad blood between she and I, she can be very interesting to read in her finer moments and can make the most difficult situations to understand, understandable (even when it
sucks to know she is right).

Hoping the thread will give her the latitude which they in turn hope others give them, and asking her to reconsider her desire to no longer participate in spite of past history or perhaps even because of it.
