Well, I have been waiting for months and will continue to wait another 6 months for my cable modem if I have to. DSL is not available to me anyway, ISDN is but I have a 56K. I want broadband, I need BB. I was getting my oil change at JiffyLube last Friday and saw a truck in the garage with "TCI Contractor" written on the side, I proceeded to find the TCI contractor and asked him when I should expect my cable modem, He said that they had just finished redesigning the entire town (Vernon Hills, IL) and they are in the process of getting to cable modem orders now. He mentioned that he used to work for CHTR in Cali and that he's happier working for T. He said things were much more hectic at CHTR, he also mentioned that everyone who worked for CHTR has had cable modems for quite some time already. This is a great thread. Much respect to all the contributors here, Happy Turkey Day.
