I did see in a bus rag where a few businesses (Lands End maybe?) now have people avail to chat with you in real time
to help you shop their commerce sites. That could help a lot I would think, but very expensive too, and again, defeating
some of the original promise of the web as a place to business at the ultimate in low overhead and expense.


We had company at our Thanksgiving dinner and two people indicated they read that Land End is by far the best online shopping site. There were people on the internet for years but have yet to make a purchase via the net.

Fulton.com also had customer service people for live typing chat and that was impressive. Again, it is expensive.
