I believe it has been established that fingerprints can be lifted, copied, and replicated (in other words you leave your password on everything you touch) in some form acceptable to the scanning devices (just like in the (James Bond?) movie from about 15 years ago), for use in criminal activity. I read an article on this a couple years ago so can't provide a link.

Retinal scans will never fly, IMO.

It may turn out that some form of "fingertip DNA analyzer?" is the only way that seems to accommodate everybody--whether handicapped/blind or just can't remember passwords.
