;-)

I hate to say, but this is what you get when a bunch of "old minded" people, butt kissers, and other self-serving political types come in a "steal" a project from the creators. They still have the engineering talent, but - IMHO - the middle management is a joke. Sure ... they know what they are doing ... we're seeing the proof of it now! A bunch of people who couldn't think outside of the box if they were thrown outside of the box!

I know that this doesn't help any of us shareholders, but I'm always amused watching the self-appointed "experts" at Novell ... if only they would have allowed us to finish what we started. But they just wouldn't listen ... ;-(

I feel bad for *all* shareholders that these people ever got involved in digitalme ... it could have been something great in April 1999! Now we have to continue the wait and see if the engineers are allowed to produce something for April 2000!

Maybe one day ...

I'm afraid that I see a few things in the earnings announcement:

1) They missed the number ... I believe as a signal that next quarter is going to be tight. I believe that they *do* have the ability to alter the numbers a penny or two ... they could have met the whisper if they wanted to ... but for some reason they didn't want to.

2) They had a confidential, non-public, non-press, conference call ... so that they could even further warn that things are looking questionable.

3) They have repeatedly announced Ten ZENs "before the end of the year" ... we now have 4+ weeks to go ... I'm looking forward to hearing what the Ten ZENs are ... and I'm afraid that they might not have their ten before the end of the year. Or, they're going to surprise me and make a lot of very good announcements very soon ...

As for some of the other posts from people ... I agree that it's good to have a very good product which is the best "plumbing" out there ... but Paul and you are also right. If they do not soon expose the value of this to end-users, and they do not show the world what can be done with the technology, then they will be abstracted away by the applications created by Microsoft and others. This would really be too bad.
