By mid-1998, Intuit announced a joint effort with TCI, Bank of
America and @Home to develop personal financial management tools for
cable subscribers and expanded its professional tax business with the
acquisition of Lacerte Software Corp., which produces software for
professional tax preparers.

I would not read anything more about this deal than what is at face value.
