You might opt reading the prospectus, in it you will see that not only MSFT but MCIWorldcom has also invested $30M, QWST invested $15M and they have marketing arrangements with CSCO...you will also see how RTHM is more suited for business in that they offer not just another high speed access but have incorporated features and applications which brings more value to existing networks.

But if that doesn't persuade you that RTHM is more position to lead the DSL sector then we can compare ARPU(avg rev. per unit) amongst COVD and NPNT to determine which business model is more superior.

APRU:

RTHM $138
COVD $96-$98
NPNT they did not disclose but I figure its in between RTHM and COVD's

Why is RTHM's ARPU higher? Because they target the SOHOs(small office home office) which is a higher margin more premium apt market. They demand more broader services. Currently RTHM is the only DSL provider to offer data transfer rates ranging from 128Kbps to 7.1 Mbps on top of Network-Enabled features and applications such as:

a) Corporate Telephone System Extension
b) Computer Backup
c) Content Caching
d) Service Selection
e) Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol Functionality
d) Turnkey Internet.
