(OT) Interesting information 'Gemmers: "... NASDAQ orders may be processed between 9:00am and 4:30pm because NASDAQ does not have an OFFICIAL OPENING as does the NYSE at 9:30am. Market makers (NASDAQ) can start trading and updating their bids from 9:00am." Be wary if you enter orders before 9:30...it the bid starts to run up, you may not be able to cancel a limit order to sell if you change your mind and want to hold the stock. The same is probably true if you place an order to buy and decide you want to cancel. I suspect that these market-makers will boink you badly if given the chance. They did me. (Lee)
