I like your final analysis/statement. Let's see if I can fill in some
of the blanks. The reason Rollins is positioned for Mexico is that
they have facilities in Texas(Deer Park) and Louisiana. They may be
the leader in commercial incineration, but the cement kilns are unreg-
ulated competitors and perhaps a cheaper alternative to Rollin's
more 'green' (environmentally correct) process. Rollins also has a
lot of trucks they can use to transport waste from Mexico, but I think
the EPA might balk at letting in waste from foreign facilities. They
spend time in Washington trying to get the cement kilns closed or reg-
ulated, and probably lobby to get laws/rules to allow import of waste.
They have exposure to lawsuits which might never settle. I don't know
what impact Laidlaw will have, except to change the name and own 2/3
of the new company(maybe the combined cap is 180M). They were working
with ChemTrak a few years ago to customize software for the notebook
computers the field chemists use at customer/remote sites(barcode
waste, placarding, etc.). I don't know where it went.
I don't know how long it will take to make $ here. All stocks go up
and down. Rollins has been going down for a long time. I've added
positions when it gets around $2 and I'm employed. Usually I'll buy
another stock and have some $ left to throw here. It's worked OK so
far. I need to do the same with ALTS now!
Did you notice "I don't know" appears a lot in this reply!
Gotta go. Hope this helps.
