GRC, If the the claim does not require payment then could you please explain paragraph (claim) 16 or 17 of the patent.

16. The method of claim 1 wherein each information is uniquely identified by a predetermined catalog code and a dollar charge code, the dollar charge code indicating the amount of money to be charged in connection with the reproduction of said information and wherein the step of providing the information to be reproduced is defined further to include the steps of....

I guess you could argue that the dollar amount for a freebie is 0.00, but I still believe that it is a stretch of the imagination to think that something for free would also be considered a SALE. If there is no SALE then there really is not POINT OF SALE device.

Also The Patent is entitled: System for reproducing information in material objects at a point of sale location. And it claims not only the method, but the apparatus to create the MATERIAL OBJECT. NO I am not a patent authority, but I thought it was an all or nothing kind of deal.
