re: "Oh bs... Bash the guy for using your thread for spam city.."
Dr. AHhaha,
And here I thought we were going to have a Casual Friday. Yesterday I thought that I adequately put things into their proper perspective by stating:
"There are boards for each stock's pundits, detractors, and promoters, and that's where I think such banter should take place."
I trust that new posters catch on to these principles rather quickly.
With some tacit assistance, water has sought its own level here. At least it has, so far. In some ways this is the open 'net and I shall not seek to personally censor discussion in this space. I'll let you folks handle that, collectively, by your weighted acceptance or rejection of the tone I've attempted to set with the help of many, including yourself.
To these ends, you have voiced a rejection, and that's fine, because in so doing you've taken full advantage of these processes.
There's a little bit of wait and see in these kinds of situations. Once a poster with vendor affiliations disclaims and proceeds to offer substance of a generic nature during general discussion, then I think there is little recourse but to accept them into the fold in a collegial way, despite the existence of any background noise which might be caused by said affiliation.
If they are genuine in their pursuit of discussion and enlightenment, then the noise level shunts directly to ground, very quickly. If not, then I leave it to you and the others here to effect the group dynamic. I can only point and aim when I see a threat to the spirit of the thread, but I wont be the one to shoot. If it ever gets to that point where I am the one doing the shooting, then I invite you in a contingency manner at this time, to shoot me, in kind.
Just keep that paddle handy, just in case it's needed. And I do appreciate your sentiments and your absolute right to voice them.
Regards, Frank |
