TOM-ASE is $2.89 and climbing - the three dollar rule may soon apply.

The excitement is because TOM is a holding company. The 100% sub is having an IPO.

64% of the sub goes to TOM-ASE
6% goes to insiders
30% is being offered to the public at $1.50 HK on the GEM exchange.

If you take the 64% and multiply by the IPO price, you get $2.65 CDN per TOM-ASE share, but the anticipation is that the sub will run when it begins trading on Dec. 2.

Other stocks on the brand new GEM exchange have run like crazy and their is a lot of excitement about Chinese telecommunications companies.

TOM is a way for North American funds to get access to Chinese telecommunications while investing on a North American (RRSP eligible) exchange.
