Coby, speaking of the bone and metal and things, I went into my GP Monday. I was telling him about the surg being moved up to the 28th of Dec, and asking about my knees, which we had x-rayed two weeks ago, because of the pain in them, and because they go too in Prednisone therapy.

It's funny, but I was lucky to get this suggestion out of him, by getting him to think forward: Even though the x-rays are inconclusive, I should get the MRI-ed before the hip implant, because the metal, if there is some, will mess it up.

Thank goodness this got put together first.

The probability is that it is change of gait that is hurting the knees. Limping.

Whimpy limping.

Anyway.

I think I'm going to start looking for those purportedly new ceramic hips....

And that recovery doesn't sound all that straightforward. It's weird that I don't know why some people get right up, but this surgeon insists on 6 weeks in bed or crutches. "No" weight bearing. I'm willing to go with that, though. What the hay. I have the internet, where I can mercilously pester the fuk out of people.
