PDQ -
Cooters -
The PDQ is larger than the the thin phone (twice the thickness). It actually feels better than any other phone I've had (and I've had them all!!) when talking on it, but it is large to carry around (it does fit in your pocket, but you feel it).
I've used all the internet phones, and the PDQ is the only one that delivers what we all imagined an internet phone could. The browser allows access to all but a few web sites, the E-Mail works great, and you can enter data at a reasonable pace (as fast as you can write with a pen).
The power of having the interconnecting of the E-Mail, your Contact List, Scheduler, Notes, To Do list, etc. is very advantageous. I have 5 years of meeting notes, and contacts from using the Palm Pilot that were transferred to the PDQ phone in about 2 minutes with the push of a button.
I thoroughly tested the Nepoint as well, and while it did do everything they advertise, the data input and web access is very limited.
The PDQ is the best and purest wireless web device out there today. I paid $799, and have service through Sprint. I may switch to Bell Atlantic when they sell the 800 Mhz version shortly.
I love the Thin Phone as well - it's best feature is the $599 handsfree car kit which is hands down the best I've ever seen (or heard)
Good luck to all -
(I cheated and used my laptop for this post. I was online for other purposes). |
