Horrified by capital gains, turn it into a tax deduction!*

Want to sell some shares that increased spectacularly? Give some to a charity, and let them sell them. Being tax-exempt, they will not have to pay tax, while you can claim the market value at transfer as a deduction. Check this first! I am no expert.

Perhaps I should have used this as the title of the thread.
