Hi, E! I hope your Thanksgiving was one of joy. I've tried making pecan and custard pies without eggs for vegetarian friends, but the substitutions get so weird that it seems wiser just to devise wholly new recipes rather than to rework the old ones. I have yet to find one for pecan pie that works. (It doesn't help, of course, that, although I make a damned good pecan pie--and a truly fabulous chocolate pecan pie!--I don't care for the things myself. I rely on "the kindness of strangers" for feedback--LOL!) Looking forward to the next set of holidays when these questions are relevant and sending you another hug....
