The article is a couple of months old... globes.co.il Thursday , Aug 19, 1999 Sun-Thu at 18:00 (GMT+2) Communications Pele-Phone to Provide Internet Information to Cellular Telephones By Ronny Lifschitz Pele-Phone will start providing Internet content to cellular telephone owners at the beginning of next month. The new service is called "Pele-News", and it enables Pelephone's customers connected to the CDMA digital network to receive Internet data directly on the handsets. The information includes general news flashes, sports news, stock updates, weather reports, airline arrivals and departures, tourist deals and more. The service is offered free of charge. According to Pele-Phone marketing manager Gil Bull, the company intends to offer the service free of charge even in the future. Pele-Phone general manager Yigal Bar-Yosef said at a press conference today that the new service is another component in the transformation of Pele-Phone from a a cellular communications provider to a fully comprehensive communications provider.
