wrong, microsoft was a 100 stock at one time in 1997 (i believe it was 150 at the july 97 top), the splits have accomadated the small investor. it is also interesting to note that even with this big volume, there are plenty of tech/internet stock leaders that are rallying on weaker volume as compared to the rally into january and april 99
