Compaq Computer (CPQ-NYSE)
by Madison (22, Nov. 1)
The Street has been patient with Compaq's new Management team but that
patience may wear thin if the company doesn't show improved results and
give positive guidance in January. With the stock trading near its 52-week
low, we believe the stock can be accumulated at these levels with expected
improved performance in the company's operating performance and share
price in Spring 2000. With a slight bit of hesitation because of uncertainty
regarding 2000 guidance, we cautiously reiterate our Accumulate rating on
CPQ shares.
