LOL! Good on you! The thing that most people don't take into account on a play like this is that if you are on the wrong side, you are going against somebody that is both smarter than you are and has more money. Day traders run out of money at some point; there is a bottom to the well. That's when the guy with 50 million takes their money. Sometimes they lock up the stock the day before the play. I didn't check my clearing firm on Friday morning, but I will bet money that they had zero shares to short. Anybody that shorts the stock without having it to borrow is breaking the law, and trust me, the MMs that were long will account for every single share that was shorted and take the money back from anybody that shorted it illegally on Friday. I've seen it happen, I know what I am talking about. Nobody can afford to go against a big MM, it does not matter how much money you have, or how many shares you have in the position. There were three MMs playing that short squeeze yesterday. Three guys with very large bankrolls and the smarts to play it right. They won. Business is business. I will never go against a big MM. Never.
