Yonni,

So the government of Canada wants to protect medical records? That's good. The U.S. is starting to do that to. In any event, I guess your question is who stands to benefit most from this. Saflink? Well I don't know. Medical privacy software developed by NRI was sold to Integrated Visions. I don't know how the deal was structured or whatnot...so I don't know how NRI benefits...if at all. I believe Integrated Visions has the best medical privacy software out there and I think they are certainly the front runners in any race.... That having been said... Other biometric companies offer software and hardware...but a customized solution for medical privacy, I do not know about. To my limited knowledge of the medical privacy / biometric relationship...I think that Integrated Visions has had excellent reviews and offers that "privacy curtain"...so I think any medical center looking to do biometrics could do much worse. There may be other competition out there...but I don't know much about them in this particular field. So...my best guess is that Privacy Curtain is the software to be used...with a possible benefit to ESAF...although I don't know how the deal with IV was structured...so I could be wrong.

That having been said, I think that IDX stands to benefit from any IV sale. As previously discovered, IV has qualified IDT hardware for use with privacy curtain...and of course their algorithms. So the cost of hardware will benefit IDT. How much of a profit depends on total sales and profit margins...so I can only guess on that one. Maybe David could help you there.

Sorry I could not be of more help...

Regards,
Bob
