We just returned from Sofia and Prague. In Sofia we saw an assortment of Musorgski arias. Later, in Prague Czech's old city, a most beautiful setting, imagine an 18th Century church, with brilliant Mucha stained glass widows, a four piece wonderful string quartet, all accompanying a superb soprano. In this environment, we saw and listened to selected opera arias, including three versions of Avi Maria by; Mozart, Dvorjak, and Shubert. It was the closest I've ever been to heaven.
