Q on multimonitor; have 4 CRTs going on ATI cards. Just looking at Viewsonic LCDs on egghead & the Viewsonic website. Not clear whether 1 LCD could be inserted & 1 CRT removed from the mix. ie do you have to have all LCDs if you get 1 (yikes)? Thanks for any suggestions.

Yes one two or three or four LCDs could be inserted into your setup. The following paragraph extracted from Microsoft's web site is my justification for this statement. "The display adapters installed in the computer do not have to be identical. Each display adapter and monitor combination is separately enumerated and can be configured to use different screen resolutions and color depths. For example, the primary display can be set to 1024 X 768 X 256 and the secondary display can be set to 800 X 600 X 32K. "
This paragraph came from support.microsoft.com

You can use any mixture of monitors you want when using a multimonitor setup because each display adapter and monitor combination is separately enumerated and can be configured to use different screen resolutions and color depths.
