Your views are on target with regard to the realization of profits from the investments and subsequent gains on these investments once brought public... I was merely pointing out that the street still looks for old fashioned qualities even in internet companies and one of them is operational profitability. If the value of assets on the books was the real mover in stock prices CMGI would be a 50 Billion dollar company. Who knows, maybe you are right and CMGI will be a 50 Billion Dollar Company sooner than later. You should also check my past posts with regard to CMGI to see my long term view. Look at he fact that 2 of the 3 companies I used as examples of profitability also happen to be the 2 highest Market Cap internet stocks at 185 Billion +/- and 60 Billion +/-.
