Allen, all my trading capital is tied up in NBR - PESC which supposedly closed last Wednesday (11/24/99). However, I am still short and long the two stocks. If this closes on Monday, which it should, I will call both companies and see how serious this is, and what the time frame is. It appears to be on the level. My favorite way to play these is with options. Sell calls on the acquirer and buy calls on the acquired. FWIW this link says we're a go:
