You figure the Jews didn't think the Romans obvious in their politics? You suppose the enslaved Africans didn't comprehend the political significance of Southern seccession? Politics remains the same. Yesterday you considered yourself free. Now, you consider yourself oppressed, your rights impinged. Suddenly political ambition is easily discernable to you. I respectfully submit that you just woke up.
I do not underestimate the impact of the WWW on communication. Similarly King George rightly did not underestimate the potential of a free press in the colonies. This begs the question as to why people like Al Gore extol the virtues of the internet, politics being what they so obviously are. Al and the cronies are with us, right? As you suggest, the dimly lit masses will indeed let this opportunity be manipulated through their fingers like the others before.

Besides, if they bow out, they will only create the common enemy you claim we miss. You state that radical but elected elements will begin to show themselves and gain wide-spread support. On what do you base that hypothesis? Believe me, I'm watching.
The government is no longer adept at handling underground factions by confrontation, but you grossly underestimate their manipulative control. As long as Billy Ray keeps getting those disability checks and food stamps, he's less apt to bite the proverbial hand that feeds him.
Sure, if you want to switch to geological time, evolution has its share of fits and starts. So has the U.S.: the American revolution, the revolutionary war, the sixties, etc. Through all, human nature and politics have remained basically the same, but "obvious" only to the oppressed.
For all the rest of us know, you're a government crony running this thread (supply truck) from the basement of some FBI office. If not, can we assume that your politics relative to this thread are as transparent as your counterparts in Washington DC? You da man and you know best. You have, we have not. You are the power and the charity, the omnipotent. You and Billary, different goals, same politics.
