Regarding your cretaceous post, I did find that interesting. They are searching for a mechanism for distributing the heat evenly, based on current weather patterns and ocean currents. >IF< Global Warming is occurring, this La Nina may be giving clues as to how the ocean patterns will change to allow for their low latitudinal temperature gradients. If my understanding of Global Warming is correct, even a few degrees will have a major impact on weather patterns and ocean currents. We are in the middle of somewhat unusual weather patterns now with a third consecutive warm winter (so far).
