Howdy Granma. Well I done tried to git the local flatland boys to call me LRR right proper. But each time they did that, they sounded like a mess o'hounds who got a coon up a tree. Seeing a bunch of flatlander boys who shave and wear pink shirts that they launder every week and wear hunnert-dollar shoes (some of them a hunnert dollars a side even) well it was jist too much fer a country boy to take. At first they tried to tag me with Polecat on account of I smelled like "horse crap". Well ennybody who ain't a flatland tenderfoot with a Toyota (that's their cheap excuse for a pick'm'up in the flats) knows horse crap don't have a smell 'less the cats done got into it first. On any account those boys with their dee-tergent and drier sheets and all that ... well they smelled like CobyGirl when she got all done up fer the night shift at Earl's House of Cards. So anyways I beat a few of'em up amd now thay calls me what I tells'em. (Got me a bit of a talking-to by the dean and a whole buncha other fancy sorts in ties ... dunno what the hoo-haw was about since I didn't hurt any of those pansies permanent). An'that's the LR part. Everybody here's talking about summat theys callin Spring Brake. I don't get it cuz I pulled apart all three trucks that make up our front hedge ... and them springs and brakes ain't the same thing. But they all wanna go to some place that's even flatter than here called Lauderdale. Iffen that's anywheres near Raiford I'm figurin on payin JoeBob a visit ... if he can swing a room with twin beds that is. Your lovin kin, LR
