Internal controls are producing $3M gsa
cost savings.

Order backlog, a record, $31.5M

Commercial Division, the growth leader,
through telecom, datacom and internet sales. '99 vs.'98 revenues, up 50%; quarterly up 30%. Contributors include
Cisco Systems, Ascend Commun. (LU) and
Cabletron.

Hi-Rel Division wins many design awards,
including multiple European Fighter, Brimston, A9 and FSX Japanese Fighter.

The Display Division increased sales by 80%. Contracts in progress include Smith Industries, up to 25 years with Honeywell in commercial avionics and GTE. A new patent was awarded for SBLR (Super Bright Low Reflectant). Potential licensees are Sharp, Litton Industries and Honeywell.

Gross profit margins increased to 33% from 30% in the 3rd qtr.

The book to bill ratio is 1.2 to 1.

Research and development spending will increase $500k to $3.65 M in 2000.
WHT continues to support start-ups.

Projections are for a record year in 2000 with a 37% revenue increase led by the commercial segment's data/telecom and dsp demand.

Employment is projected to increase 10% to 285-295.

The November Board meeting included a discussion of calling the preferred issue so that the dividend expense is eliminated.

Brokers that follow WHT include Needham & Co, Ladenberg Thalman and Shields & Co.
