The thing that is really attractive about the best gorillas was not just their market position, but also their managers. The deciding reason for me getting into Gemstar now--rather than waiting for the Tornado--is Henry Yuen. Others credit the growth of this company to Henry as well. I believe every great company must have a great leader but am interested to learn how the Board of Directors at Gemstar have planned for an unexpected departure of leadership due to death, sickness or other reasons.
