Kelowna is where the love of my life lives now..... Unbelievable. The love of my life - who some time ago passed from the realm of future dream to past regret, probably forever - is from Kelowna. It's been about a decade since I last saw her, but...there's a special part of my heart only she holds. Before the last burst of development on the east side of the lake there was a very private, very secluded beach you could only get to by driving beyond the end of the pavement. It was a tiny strip of sand, no more than 10-15m wide, but since no one but us knew about it - it was enough. Not long ago I made the mistake of revisiting the place. The road now extends to and beyond, and the beach is now a small park complete with hibachis and picnicing families. Nothing wrong with that, but it does horribly clash with my memories of the place. Oh well, Ob-la-di, ob-la-da...
