Should RIM ring any bells? As I remarked a couple of posts ago, my memory is not what it used to be, so please just tell me.

I understand what you are saying about the market being a bit overvalued and frothy. However, that is when there is a lot of money to be made in momentum stocks. No momentum, no profits! It almost sounds from what you are saying that the Canadian stocks may be more of value plays. Certainly I want stocks to go up, up, up quickly, not sit around while I hope that someone noses around and discovers them.

I would be especially suspicious of American companies on the Canadian exchanges--I don't think their reporting requirements are as stringent as ours, so it attracts fly-by-nighters. Anyone remember Warp-10, In think the stock was? I lost money on that one in my early days. Louis Rukeyser had someone on his show who recommended it; it shot up briefly and then nosedived to the high cents as I recall. It sort of gave me bad feelings about Canadian stocks. Plus, they are further away, so it is harder to check on them in a 3D sense. I love it when people at SI drive by the parking lots of companies and report what is actually happening there. I think it is valuable tool.

So what does MGI actually do?
