Joe, KLP, Peach, Puna, Carolyn, Sandi, et al,

Glad to hear you all had a very "thankful" holiday!

I must say though, I'm getting pretty damned tired of turkey (breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and midnight "snack" every day for four days straight)!!! My Mom got the turkey bones this year, so I won't be making any of my "world famous" turkey soup, which I usually freeze, and eat in in a pinch (instead of pizza) throughout the year.

Took the "new" in-law parents to the airport on Wed. (they flew to Rancho Mirage this year, staying with another daughter), but we had a very nice (relatively small) Thanksgiving this year at my parents place up on Whidbey Island. Dad is doing great since his heart attack last month, and is really all set for Y2K (tons of firewood split and stacked, drilled a new well on their adjacent property, huge propane tank hooked up to the house, generaters, batteries, kerosene latterns, enough stored food to last until Y3K, rain barrels under the roof to flush the "indoor" toilets, lots of amo, and huge tins buried in the back yard with their GNET and CHTR stock certificates inside). So I'm not the least bit concerned about WhyTwoK. We can just get in a sailboat (or rowboat), and go on up to my folks place and stay for a year or two if we have to. Heck, I was the Boy Scout in the family ("Be Prepared" and all that stuff, which really worked for me during my "dating" years), but we haven't done a darn thing to prepare (oh, I suppose I'll stock up on an extra frozen pizza or two). And with Dad so "into it". . . "What Me Worry"?

Both my folks now each have their own computers, thanks to my "proding." Mom, the professional writer and "investor; Dad the artist, researcher, and teacher. I helped them fix a few computer problems on Thanksgiving (I know nothing like you Joe), and got them logged into Silicon Investor and GNET's Metacrawler for searching stuff. It took Mom about a year to quit using her typewriter so much, and now she emails all her friends and relatives constantly, driving us all completely crazy! They both love it.

Anyway, tomorrow we can all go back to work becoming filthy rich in the stock market ("Another Day, Another Party, as I always say). And a week from tomorrow CHTR's "quiet period" will be over (finishes on 12/4), and we should start to hear from a few analysts.

PEACE (and prosperity) TO YOU ALL,
Roger
