FWIW ... Hosted by Mensa in Georgia

WHAT: Mensa's "Year 2000 Mind Games Atlanta," hosted by Mensa in Georgia. Mensans from around the country meet at this annual gathering to evaluate new games, and the winners are allowed to be advertised as "Mensa Select."

WHERE: Sumner Suites Hotel, 1899 Sullivan Drive, College Park, Georgia (near the Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport (ATL), with a free hotel shuttle). The special Mensa rate ($75.00 per night for 1 to 4 people) includes a continental breakfast. For reservations, call (770) 994-2997, and be sure to mention Mensa.

WHEN: May 5-7, 2000. Plan to arrive Friday (May 5) so that you'll have more time to adequately judge the games.

GOODIES:
At least one game for each judge to take home. (Maybe more!)

REGISTER TO ATTEND: Registration is $55.00 per person, which includes the usual bountiful Mensa hospitality all weekend, dinner on Friday night, and lunch on Saturday. Saturday dinner is not included, but there are restaurants in any price range near the hotel.

CLICK HERE for printable Registration Form.

NOTE: Because each participant will be provided with an individual list of games to play, NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER APRIL 29, 2000. Non-Mensans are welcome, and will be able to play the games, but they will not be eligible to vote.

TO ENTER A GAME: The game registration fee is $100 per game and we require 6 copies of the game for judging. Each manufacturer will also receive comment cards from the judges for their game. To enter a game for Y2KMGA, please contact Mark Witter, Marketing Director, at (817) 607-0060 or AmericanMensa@mensa.org.
