Do not look to Janice for an answer. I shall provide it.
When one is at a higher level than those of average vision, intellect, ambition or desire, one yearns for some contact with peers. The answer, therefore is to jostle those that seem like they may be able to be lifted up to your loftier level. If achieved, then life becomes a fuller, more satisfying experience. It is a purely selfiish act.
Of course, most will not measure up. They will fall to the roadside of failed expectations -- but a few will claw their way up out of spite, anger, resentment or dignity (it really does not matter which) and once at the higher level, they too will have a new, richer and more complete perspective of the world. Therefore they shall be more open to rational discourse, bonding, and -- if the opposite sex -- perhaps joyful pony rides.
Thus Spake the Great Father
>>Riddle me this, Janice. Why would a self described very bright fellow wish to hang out with dolts who despise him? What would a very clever person have to gain by mocking morons, or having them mock him? When would someone of stellar intellect tire of exchanging insults with those he acknowledges to be his inferiors? I, as a doltish, not very bright, non-stellar intellect and sometime oak tree have trouble with these questions. Can you help me pea brained compatriot?<< |
