NSATF, a top distributor of DirecTV services in addition to their satellite equipment line: "Hughes stock (traded as GM, class H) has more than doubled this year to 85, including a three-point rise last week, because Wall Street is enthusiastic about Hughes' fast-growing satellite-TV unit, DirecTV, which dominates the industry and should get a further fillip from legislation expected to be signed by President Clinton Monday to permit satellite broadcasters to beam local TV stations' signals.
