To the thread:
Just spent the past 1.5 hrs reading from yesterday onward, plus the PMs. Despite the Non- G & K stuff, there were still many important and useful and enlightening posts.
This is a great thread, started by UF,LB & MB, and shepherded by Uncle Frank. Frank should take a few days off, pour a few stiff ones, and come back renewed. All of us who have been leaders in other endeavors know how he feels. Being a leader means taking responsibility; it can often be a "lose-lose" proposition. Yet the work must be done, because the product is so valuable.
I agree with Merlin, but his public post beat me to it. We should stay properly focused on one thread.
May I point out that though the discussion is brutal, the gender bias issue that has been raised has certainly made us all aware, has it not? To Jill and Poet, I believe that you are welcome here. I see an olive branch from Uncle Frank in his most recent post. Why not meet everybody halfway, promote some healing here, and join the hunt.
