John, I have to assume here you're being purposely obtuse, but just for old time's sake, I'll state the obvious. Slate is owned and operated by Microsoft. The implied idea that its "editorial independence" from Bill's ever present hands on management style would extend to the antitrust matter is somewhat at odds with the history of their coverage.
