Hi George, a really great post. Funding behind D3 was not unusually high when you considered their marketing plan. I've just seen bits and pieces, but it fit. The original business plan for FNet was quality, and never saw the second. But Frankln had their chances, and blew it. Maybe they didn't have the needed capital for the same roll-out as D3, but no one inside ever intended to make FNet huge, thats a fact they'll have to live with and its from a very very reliable source. Maybe one of these days, someone close will quit and post here on the blown chances the FNet gang has made, I bet it's note worthly. The meeting on the 21st of Nov in 97 still stings with 3 of us setting there listening to FWP tell us we had 25 million in contracts, and the stock will be 25 by February. But that's not even the icing or good stuff/bad depending on my bi-polar mood! :)

Starting up a Telecom company is crude in the eyes of VCs, there's got to be something more now that sizzles for an IPO.

Have you noticed no takes for a buck a share? Ha! I'm very shocked no one has yet to sue Franklin, if it weren't for the 3rd party on that day, I would have my way!!!
