KANSAS CITY, Mo., Nov 29, 1999 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Sprint PCS (NYSE: PCS) today announced
new affiliation agreements and the expansion of existing affiliation agreements that will expand the true clarity of Sprint
PCS' all-digital, all-PCS nationwide wireless service to key cities and highway corridors in 14 states: Alabama,
Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia,
West Virginia and Wisconsin. Sprint PCS has signed 18 affiliation agreements to date representing licensed PCS
coverage of nearly 58 million people in 38 states. Sprint PCS recently signed affiliation agreements with the following
organizations: -- Bright Personal Communications Services, Inc. of Chillicothe, Ohio, will serve the Indiana cities of
Elkhart, Fort Wayne, Kokomo-Logansport, Marion, Mishawaka, South Bend and portions of Michigan City-LaPorte;
the Ohio cities of Findlay-Tiffin, Lima, and portions of Dayton-Springfield and Toledo; and portions of the Michigan cities
of Battle Creek, Benton Harbor, and Kalamazoo; with licensed PCS coverage of more than 2.3 million people. Bright
PCS will be managed by existing Sprint PCS affiliate partner Horizon.

As part of the agreements, Sprint PCS affiliate partner companies are building all-digital, CDMA (Code Division Multiple
Access) wireless networks, the majority of which will operate on the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) PCS
licenses owned by Sprint PCS. Each company operates and markets the network as Sprint PCS Service, leveraging the
branding, marketing and distribution programs of Sprint PCS.

In exchange, Sprint PCS affiliate partner companies benefit from Sprint PCS' relationships with key infrastructure and
phone manufacturers, and national retail distribution partners. In addition, affiliates utilize the PCS network and customer
care support assets of Sprint PCS including 24-hour network management and monitoring via the Sprint PCS National
Network Operations Control Center; billing, voicemail; and Sprint PCS Customer Care.
