She is a good actress, but there are many actresses as good or better: among the best, Vanessa Redgrave (whose politics I also disapprove of), Miranda Richardson, Julianne Moore (I finally saw "Vanya on 42nd Street" all the way through. Stunning!), Kathy Bates, Gong Li, Patricia Neal, Katherine Hepburn, Vivien Leigh.....just for starters........I saw her a couple of years ago at the Kennedy Center with Ted Turner, interviewed by Larry King, as part of a series sponsored by the Greater Washington Society of Association Executives. She is, I gathered from that, basically shallow.....
