I heard from CNBC that MSFT reported 79 cents quarter earning far ahead of 64 cents consensus by First Call. Not much more dtail at this point except that Office 97 sales have been very strong. This is consistent with INTC's recent good earning reports. Strong MPU sales should help the Office 97 sales. The detail of MSFT's report including forward looking statement should be very talling for the health of PC industry. CNBC also mentioned that MSFT was traded at 103 after hour up 5.
