Thursday April 17 4:15 PM EDT ADVISORY/GIFS says CRIC sale closing on track: $117 million sale closing set for Monday, April 28 --(BUSINESS WIRE)-- (GIFS-OTC-BB) announced today that the extensive due diligence process in place for the sale of the CRIC unit is proceeding on track with the time line as scheduled for closing on April 28, 1997. GIFS has previously announced the sale of its CRIC unit in a $117 million transaction with Suisse Private Banking Group, Ltd., and InterFinance Private Banking Group Ltd. Additionally the company announced today that it has accepted the resignation of its present transfer agent in part due to its conflict of interest with several disputed 144 shareholders including Jamie Gomez and Lou Sitaris among others. The company stated that it has taken all the administrative actions necessary to effectuate a smooth transition to self-transfer with no disruption to timely shareholder transfers or the GIFS market price.
