Hi Altern8- That would be a good level to buy. In fact, that is exactly what I would recommend. The stock price does fluctuate, being cyclical.

This company is lean and mean. It has really made cuts over the past few years. If one segment of the company is not producing, they close it down. Each part of the company must be profitable. No losers! Also, people have been encouraged to take early retirement. The funny thing is that these people are many times called back to work on a part-time basis. It's a sweet thing for the company. NO benefits! I believe compensation is only at an hourly rate similar to what they retired at. It probably isn't so bad for the former employee either. At least the employee gets some extra spending money and eases into retirement.

Those long hours my wife is spending at work?....putting "orders" on the books. This company is rocking!

Oh....by the way....this Alcoa bought a mill in China a month before the agreement was announced. This company and its CEO are definitely in the know! When that happened, my wife scratched her head and thought, "What the heck do we need a mill in China for?" Now she knows! I believe the CEO of Alcoa was offered a position with the Clinton administration, but turned it down. I think it might have been at a level of secretary.

Good luck! I hope you can get in at that level!
