Tom

2 articles on BALT in irish press.

Irish Times Business section Nov. 26 1999

Key Points
BALT is very strong in europe and relationships with financial institutions in particular are second to none.

The U.S. is the key market and BALT's objective is to become a leader here. They co-sponsored the '99 RSA data security conference which was a huge success in gaining mindshare for the company.

20% of potentialsales which BALT thinks the the Company can realise this year are in the U.S.

Charles Ruttstein an analyst with Forrester Research[MA] believes BALT will be a "player in the U.S. no matter what"but will not be a dominant player in the U.S..According to the article Fran Rooney intends to prove him wrong.

Sunday Tribune Business section Nov.28

Key Points

The recent qtr results show a rapid migration to the higher margin software sales exceeding expectations at Beeson Gregory, a London stockbroker.

Beeson Gregory rate the share a buy at current levels(30œ)
The share is trading at a premium to Entrust but at a discount to Verisign. The bulk of the trading so far has been in the U.K. and once U.S. trading picks up momentum the share could rise further.

Tom, the following estimates of market size for network security profits were given
