Just a brief note: I received an HTML email from Yahoo! Delivers 11/19/99 advertising the grand opening of their shopping site along with four companies to be found at the site. It was distributed by emailpub -- one of Messagemedia's many mail servers. NOTE: If you have an account on Yahoo!, perhaps you received a similar message. Check the header on the email to see where it came. I am assuming Yahoo's increase in shopping volume last Friday #reply-12131926 was due, in part, to their ability to get the word out. I also believe Messagemedia played a significant role in increasing sales at Yahoo!. Considering there is considerable talk about e-tailers spending a bundle on advertising this season, and that the losers will cut their losses next year #reply-12126390, I'm thinking that come next year, we will see a shake up in the many bulk emailers, and that Messagemedia has a good chance of establishing its domination in the channel sector of internet stocks. Another point. Yahoo! included 4 etailers in its ad. I'm wondering if each company wasn't charged for its portion of the ad. Conducting business this way, (1 message, 5 companies) suggests Messagemedia may be getting a premium for its messages. Something that most investors haven't thought about I bet!
