Did tero not say this was happening? (g)

You are going to get me in trouble....I cant resist answering something like that. Tero definitely predicted the demand for WAP handsets. I defer to him on GSM demand....if he said that Nokia's current handsets werent selling well, I would have to reconsider an investment in Nokia.

However he did not predict the TDMA numbers. For the last three months or so Tero has been asking what the fastest growing digital standard was....with the answer being TDMA (this was only true for 1 quarter). With these latest figures the answer has become CDMA. The UWCC quotes 61% growth in subs in the first three quarters while CDMA had 79%.

Two interesting things about the numbers....It seems that TDMA has gotten more new subs in North America during the last two quarters even though CDMA seems to have sold more phones. The upgrade cycle in CDMA seems to be strongly underway. The other place to watch is Latin/South America where TDMA seems to have big lead in total number of subs....though CDMA had surprising growth last quarter.

Just my take on the numbers. One question....does anybody know the ASP's for Nokia?
