Samsung Electronics Posts Record Monthly Sales in Non-Memory Sector November 29, 1999 (SEOUL) -- Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced Nov. 25 that its November sales in the non-memory sector hit a record US$100 million, helping nudge up its sales estimate to US$1 billion for the whole of 1999. The maker said it will invest 1.3 trillion won (US$1.1 billion) to produce more non-memory products against rising demand for digital electronics and communications devices. The company expects combined sales of the memory and non-memory sectors to reach US$6 billion this year. (Maeil Business Newspaper, Korea)
