With regard to Brocade and Intellectual Property Rights take a look at the following:

Message 11122604

This was the August 31, time-frame. I read Paul Johnson's comments I believe at ZD Interactive. It was a summary of a BancBoston Robertson Stephens release on Brocade. I will try to find a link to the story if it is still archived. He (Paul) may have been hyping the stock. I am unsure if BancBoston Robertson Stephens had an active role in the Brocade IPO this past summer.

In any case he used the terms "young gorilla." It certainly is not a full grown one based on the definition provided by the field manual, but I recall feeling that Paul Johnson's description had exceptional validity as to potential, since he was a co-author. Certainly, I have no regret investing in it as it is benefiting from the storewidth paradigm that Gilder talks about and is said to have proprietary technology for the fibre channel switches that make these storage systems possible. I'll see if I can find the link.

Best Regards,
Tom
